Nasi Goreng

  • 1 MAGGI chicken seasoning cube
  • 300g cooked white rice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 150g chicken breast or other protein (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp red chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (diced)
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 25-50g raisins
  • 25g cashew nuts
  • 1 egg, fried to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

Step 2

Add chilli, ginger and garlic and stir for 10 seconds.

Step 3

Add onions, the MAGGI chicken cube, half of the soy sauce and chilli flakes. Stir.

Step 4

Add the chicken and cook until it is mostly cooked through and a bit

Step 5

Add the rice and the remaining soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 mins until the sauce reduces down and the rice grains start to caramelise.

Step 6

Serve with your choice of garnishes.
